Terms of Service

Effective May 23, 2026

01

Agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of OGCanvas (the “Service”), a hosted Open Graph image editor and render API operated by Nitesh Seram (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

02

Accounts

You are responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

03

Subscriptions and billing

The Service offers a Free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Pricing and feature scope are described on the pricing page.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the pricing page while signed in; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and your account drops to Free. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. By subscribing you also accept Dodo Payments’ terms.

04

Your content

You retain all ownership rights in the designs, images, text, and other materials you upload or create using the Service (your “Content”). We claim no ownership over your Content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, render, and transmit your Content solely as needed to operate the Service: to display it in your editor, to generate thumbnails, to serve renders from the hosted URL, to back it up, and to make it available to you across devices.

You are solely responsible for your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to all materials you upload (including fonts, logos, photos, and third-party brand assets). You represent that your Content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

05

Templates and provided assets

Templates, fonts, sample assets, and other materials we provide are licensed to you for use within the Service to create and serve OG images for your projects. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute these assets as a standalone product or template library.

06

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, render, or distribute content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful, or that incites violence.
  • Infringe the intellectual property, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights of others (including impersonating brands or people).
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, templates, or non-public assets from the Service.
  • Use the render API to generate images for workloads unrelated to your own websites or applications (for example, as a free general-purpose image-generation backend).
  • Interfere with, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users (DDoS, automated abuse, bypassing rate limits).
  • Submit image variable URLs that target internal networks, local addresses, or other resources you do not own (SSRF).

We may investigate suspected violations, remove offending content, and suspend or terminate accounts. We may cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.

07

Render API and fair use

Premium includes unlimited renders under fair use. We may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily block requests that we reasonably determine to be abusive, automated at scale, or outside the intended use of the Service.

08

Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers (including Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, Dodo Payments, and Google as an OAuth provider) to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms where applicable. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or other issues caused by third-party providers, though we will use reasonable efforts to mitigate them. We may add, change, or replace providers; when we do, we will update the Privacy Policy accordingly.

09

Intellectual property

The Service, including the editor, rendering pipeline, templates we author, brand, logos, and software, is owned by us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms; nothing more.

10

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you creates legal or operational risk.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your Content after a reasonable retention period. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.

11

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that renders will be available at all times, or that any defects will be corrected.

12

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data, arising out of or in connection with the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

13

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14

Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service at any time, including adding, changing, or removing features. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will update the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, give reasonable advance notice (such as an in-app banner or email). Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your residence provide otherwise.
